Production Process

Pingio Home’s Tencel™ Lyocell plain grey bedding begins in sustainably managed eucalyptus forests certified by FSC® and PEFC™. Harvested chips are pulped with non-toxic solvent in a closed-loop system that recycles most of water and chemicals, earning the EU Ecolabel. The pure Tencel™ Lyocell slurry is extruded through micro-filament spinnerets, creating ultra-fine fibers with inherent strength and a silk-like hand. These continuous filaments are ring-spun into single-ply yarns, then mercerized to lock in color and luster. Using a 300-thread-count, single-pick percale weave, the fabric is woven on looms at low tension for maximum breathability. 

After weaving, it undergoes enzyme-based bio-polishing to remove surface fuzz, minimizing pilling and enhancing drape. A silicone-free, low-temperature calendaring step adds a subtle sheen while conserving energy. Finally, the fabric is precision-cut, sewn with French seams and OEKO-TEX® certified to ensure zero harmful residues, resulting in a cool, eco-luxury Tencel™ Lyocell bed sheets set ready for gentle machine washing.
